首都医科大学临床医学本科。于美国著名的德州MD安德森癌症中心(Texas MD Anderson)取得分子生物学博士学位；德州科技大学(Texas Tech)医学院完成內科住院医生实习。毕业於世界著名的約翰霍甫金斯大学腸胃科，並于科羅拉多州大学做治疗內窥鏡(Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellow)的進一步深造及研究。荊医师有十年丰富的腸胃科臨床经验，並 從事多項与腸胃疾病有关的研究及教学。 荊医師专長於肠胃疾病、胰及胆囊疾病的診斷，分期及治疗。例如：膽結石、胰腺炎、胰臟囊腫、胰腺癌及腸胃癌。 荊医師现任於紐約大学医学院腸胃科副教授，亦是前紐約大学医学院胃鏡室主任、全美知名內鏡治疗专家及美国腸胃协会、美国腸胃鏡协会成員。发表临床医学及科研论文多篇，及国内外学术会议宣读论文。
