1994年毕业于原镇江医学院现江苏大学医学院本科。 2005年在美国俄亥俄医科大学获得神经科学博士学位。他先后于2008年和2011年在纽约州立大学布鲁克林健康科学中心完成内科培训和心脏科专科培训。发表临床医学及科研论文多篇，及国内外学术会议宣读论文他目前在路易斯安那州的Ochsner Clinic从事心脏科工作，专项是成人临床心脏病学，非创伤性心脏影像学和心脏预防医学。

Dr. Gao obtained his medical degree from Zhenjiang Medical College in China and his PhD degree in neuroscience from Medical Unviersity of Ohio inToledo, Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
