1998年本科毕业于武汉同济医科大学并同时获得硕士学位，2002年又在美国北德州大学获得神经科学硕士学位。2012年在俄亥俄州St. Elizabeth医学中心内科完成住院医生培训，俄州东北医科大学专科进修（Fellowship）。曾任俄州Lake Erie医学院及俄州东北医科大学医学院内科助理教授，主治医师。研究生和住院医师期间多次获奖，并发表科研及临床论文，多次在国内外学术会议宣读论文。热心参与美中医学教育公益事业。
